The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), one of the central armed police forces under (CAPF) the administrative control of the ministry of home affairs, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of sub-inspector. It is a group ‘B’ non-gazetted and non-ministerial post. The total number of vacancies 116. Both male and female candidates can apply. The post is temporary, but likely to be permanent.
The online application process has started from July 17. Interested candidates can apply online for these posts through the official website of the force at ssbrectt.gov.in. The last date of online application form submission is August 16, 2021.
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 116 vacancies for the post of sub-inspector as pioneer, draughtsman, communication and staff nurse in SSB. According to official advertisement, 10% vacancies reserved for ex-serviceman. The post-wise vacancies are:
1) Sub-inspector (pioneer): 18
2) Sub-inspector (draughtsman): 3
3) Sub-inspector (communication): 56
4) Sub-inspector (staff nurse, female): 39
Pay Level 6 which is Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month as per 7th pay commission and other allowances.
A) Qualification:
1) Sub-inspector (pioneer): Degree or diploma in civil engineering from a recognised university or institute.
2) Sub-inspector (draughtsman): Minimum matriculation (class 10) pass from a recognised board and two years national tradesmen certificate from a recognised ITI. In addition, one-year certificate course or experience in AUTOCAD is essential to apply for this post.
3) Sub-inspector (communication): Degree in electronics and communication/ computer science/ information technology/ science with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised university or institute.
4) Sub-inspector (staff nurse female): 10+2 pass with science or its equivalent and three years diploma in general nursing from a government recognised institute.
Registration certificate from central or state nursing council and two years of experience in a registered hospital are also necessary.
B) Age limit:
1) SI (Pioneer): Up to 30 years
2) SI (Draughtsman): Between 18 to 30 years
3) SI (Communication): Up to 30 years
4) SI (Staff Nurse Female): Between 21 to 30 years
Unreserved, economically weaker sections and other backward class candidates will have to pay Rs 200 as examination fee only through online mode. However, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, ex-serviceman and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Interested candidates are required to apply only online through BSF’s official website at ssbrectt.gov.in on or before August 16, 2021.
