The notification for the recruitment of constables in Delhi Police was released on August 1, 2020. As per the vacancy details, a total of 5836 posts are to be recruited. According to the released notification, the online examination for these posts was held from November 27 to December 14, last year. Now the dates for the physical examination have been announced by the commission.
All candidates who were shortlisted on the basis of computer based exam will proceed for the PET & PMT exams.
Covid-19 protocols to be followed
During the PET and PMT examinations, all the candidates will have to follow the guidelines issued by the government for the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic. All the applicants will have to appear in the examination center wearing a mask. At the same time, social distancing, sanitization and other protocols will also be adhered to.
The guidelines regarding social distancing norms issued by the Govt. From time to time in the present scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health and safety of the candidates will be implemented during the conduct of PE & MT. Approximately precautionary measures will also be taken for fair and transparent conduct of the test without compromising on the safety of examiners and examinees. Candidates are required to adhere to the guidelines for social distancing, waring mask and hygiene in their own interest,” the official notice stated.
Vacancy details
In September 2020, SSC had released vacancies for 5,846 posts of constable (executive) in Delhi Police. These include a total of 3,902 vacancies for male executive constable and 1,934 for female candidates. The written examination for the recruitment was conducted from November 27 to December 14. As many as 28,77,35 applications were received for the examination.
