Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), a public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the department of atomic energy, has released a notification for the post of apprentice under the Apprentices Act. A total of 242 vacancies will be filled up in various trades through this recruitment process. The duration of the apprenticeship is one year. The online application process has started. This recruitment drive will fill up a total number of 242 apprentice posts in UCIL Take a look at trade-wise vacancy details:

Fitter: 80 posts

Electrician: 80 posts

Welder (Gas and Electric): 40 posts

Turner/ Machinist: 15 posts

Instrument mechanic: 05 posts

Mechanic diesel/ Mechanic motor vehicle: 12 posts

Carpenter: 05 posts

Plumber: 05 posts

Eligibility criteria

– Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination (under 10+2 examination system) or its equivalent from a government recognised board and also should possess the ITI examination certificate in the relevant trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

– Age limit: Candidates should have attained the minimum age of 18 years and should be below the maximum age limit of 25 years as on October 29, 2021. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.

According to notification, candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under Apprentice Act, 1961 in any government or public sector or private industrial organization are not eligible to apply for the current enrolment process.

Selection process

The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the ITI examination in respective trades.
