The health and family welfare department of the government of West Bengal has released a notification for recruitment of community health officers (CHO) on contractual basis. A total of 1,500 vacancies will be filled up through this recruitment process in various Suswasthya Kendras across the state. The last date of registration is November 10, 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till November 15, 2021.

– Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed integrated course of BPCCHN including BSc (Nursing) or post basic BSc in the year 2020/2021 from an institute recognised by West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC) and must have a registration certificate/ provisional certificate from WBNC.
In addition, candidates have to be residents of the state and they should be able to read, write and speak Bengali.
– Age limit: The maximum age of the candidates is 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government guidelines.
Candidates have to pay Rs 100 as application fee through online mode.
As per official notification, selected candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs 20,000 per month in addition to an incentive of Rs 5,000.
