SBI General Insurance, one of India’s leading general insurers, has recently launched ‘Arogya Supreme’ health insurance plan.
“Arogya Supreme is a comprehensive product and filed with multiple benefits and coverages for a retail customer, however, we intend to cascade all the filed features/coverages, gradually,” the insurer said in a statement.
This comprehensive insurance policy provides sum insured options up to Rs 5 crores where customers can choose from three different options Pro, Plus, and Premium, based on the sum insured and coverage features.
An adult between 18 years and 65 years can buy this health insurance policy. On the other hand, for children the age should be 91 days to 25 years.
You can buy this plan for 1 year, 2 years or 3 years.
‘Arogya Supreme’ plan is designed to ensure that policyholders can avail full health insurance coverage, including 20 basic covers and 8 optional covers.
i) Basic cover

In-patient hospitalisation treatment, mental healthcare, HIV/AIDS, domestic emergency assistance services including air ambulance, organ donor expenses, genetic disorder, internal congenital anomaly, bariatric surgery, cataract treatment, Pre and post-hospitalisation, domiciliary hospitalisation, day care treatment, road ambulance, alternative treatment/AYUSH recovery benefit.
ii) Add-on benefits
Other than basic covers, the company offers 8 optional covers to the policyholders under this plan, which include, Hospital cash benefit, major Illness benefit co-payment, additional sum insured for accidental hospitalisation, enhanced cumulative bonus, no claim bonus protector.
iii) Renewal benefit
SBI General insurance offers preventive health check-up cover and cumulative bonus as renewal benefit.
Premium will depend on multiple factors including age of policyholders, policy term etc.
