CricketCrazy.io, a cricket-only Non Fungible Token (NFT) market place was launched on Wednesday by a Singapore based blockchain platform, Cricket Foundation. The platform has over 50 unique moments of the sport which is worth over $2,00,000. It has partnered with blockchain start up Zebi, also based out of Singapore, for the technology. Beyond autographs, stumps, bats, balls and t-shirts fans will be able to buy and own a digital memorabilia piece like an image, video or text related to the sport.
On a daily basis, CricketCrazy.io will be adding around five NFTs of iconic cricketing moments daily, with over 20,000 assets of cricket media in the library to choose from, contributed by the partners of Cricket Foundation.
The platform said that, through NFT the ownership of the video can be defined. On the other hand, when a video is sent to someone, it is actually a copy and not original.
For buying the NFT, one has to register on the platform CricketCrazy.io and choose the NFT that he or she likes to buy and complete the purchase through CRIC Token. It is also the only medium of transaction on CricketCrazy.io. Crypto exchanges like Bitbns and Latoken offer CRIC Token.
Over 120 partners, including players, clubs, associations, business partners, and game developers are part of the Cricket Foundation. Some of its partners are Parthiv Patel, VVS Laxman, RP Singh, Wasim Akram, Piyush Chawla, Lance Klusener, Shaun Tait, Pragyan Ojha, Rikki Clarke and Veda Krishnamurthy.
