Five of the top ten cryptocurrencies were trading in green in the last 24 hours, with Shiba Inu showing the highest gain of 12.02% to $0.00007239. Solana soared by 5.38% to $202.19. The world’s oldest and largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin fell by 2.03% to $60,460.37, while the second-largest token Ethereum declined by 2.87% to $4,233.13. Cardano also slipped by 3.16% to $1.94. Others like Dogecoin gained marginally by 2.43%. In terms of ranking, all the cryptocurrencies are in the same position.
Dogecoin continued its upward journey as Tesla boss Elon Musk posted a tweet of using it as a currency for tuition in a fictional university.
Musk’s tweet yesterday, comes two days after he tweeted about his plans on setting up a fictional university. His tweet on October 29 read as follows, “starting new university: Texas Institute of Technology & Science”.
Following this his tweet on the same thread read, “Tuition is in Dogecoin & u get a discount if u have a dog”.

In minutes after the tweet, Dogecoin’s prices soared from $0.25 to $0.28. Shiba Inu, Dogecoin’s spinoff also recorded a marginal increase a few hours. The coin’s market cap is presently over $74.13 billion.
The ‘SQUID’- a new brand of cryptocurrency based out of the South Korean web series ‘Squid Game’ has gained by over 300%, and was trading at $13.60 on October 30th, according to CoinMarketCap.
Earlier SQUID had gained over 2,400% in a day to trade at $2.22 on October 29, CNBC had reported. The market cap of the new token stood above $174 million.
