TCS gets good deal-wins in crypto space

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Friday said that it is seeing robust deals wins from new areas of its platform business like cryptocurrency exchanges.

The comment from TCS is an indication that the cryptocurrency industry is witnessing a rapid growth in the country despite all the uncertainties around regulations. In terms of user base, Coinswitch Kuber went past India’s largest stockbroker Zerodha. The startup recently achieved unicorn status, after it raised fresh capital at a valuation of $1.9 billion. This has increased the popularity of Indian cryptocurrency exchange at the global level.

However, the growth comes on the back of regulatory uncertainty as the government plans to ban all private cryptocurrencies in India by introducing a bill and launch a central bank digital currency.
