Billionaire Warren Buffett gives this simple formula to increase your worth by at least 50%
Berkshire Hathaway reported nearly $12 billion profit in the first quarter a year after a major loss when the value of its stock investments plummeted because of the coronavirus pandemic
When legendary investors share their pearls of wisdom, you just sit up and listen. Especially if it comes from Warren Buffett, the man who made billions from his investments.
Buffett in a video posted on LinkedIn once said, “Invest in yourself. The one easy way to become worth 50% more than you are now — at least — is to hone your communication skills — both written and verbal.” The video was posted by Michael Hood, co-founder, Voiceflow.com.
Known as the “Oracle of Omaha,” Warren Buffett is one of the most successful investors of all time. With a net worth of $110 billion, Buffett is the sixth richest individual in the world. He has made over $22 billion in 2021 so far, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire index.
In that video, Buffett further added that if you can’t communicate, it’s like winking at a girl in the dark – nothing happens. You can have all the brainpower in the world, but you have to be able to transmit it. And the transmission is communication.
Of late, his company Berkshire Hathaway reported a nearly $12 billion profit in the first quarter a year after a major loss when the value of its stock investments plummeted because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The firm on May 1 said that it earned $11.7 billion, or $7,638 per Class A share, during the first quarter as the paper value of its investment portfolio rebounded. A year earlier, Berkshire reported losing $49.7 billion, or $30,653 per share.
In his letter to shareholders in February, Buffett encouraged investors to maintain their faith in America’s economy and the businesses his Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate owns.
Buffett’s annual letter is always well-read in the business world because of his remarkably successful track record and his knack for explaining complicated subjects in simple terms.
