Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's wife hikes stake in this smallcap

Jhunjhunwala’s have also increased their stake in other companies like Fortis Healthcare and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in the March quarter

Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said that Jhunjhunwala paid around Rs 9.51 crore as a settlement amount.

Shares of Agro Tech Foods traded higher after Rekha Rakesh Jhunjhunwala raised a stake in the smallcap firm 3.49% in March quarter from 3.28% in the preceding quarter ended December 31.

The latest shareholding data showed that Rekha Rakesh Jhunjhunwala now holds 8,49,559 equity shares in Agro Tech Foods against 7,99,559 equity shares earlier. On the other hand, the shareholding of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala stood at 4.73%.

Shares of the company traded 0.27% higher at Rs 832.10 at around 10.43 am (IST). On the other hand, the benchmark BSE Sensex was down 1,090 points, or 2.23%, at 47,741 at around the same time.

Jhunjhunwala’s have also increased their stake in other companies like Fortis Healthcare and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in the March quarter, while they have cut their holdings in companies like VIP Industries, Tata Communications and Titan Company.

On the other hand, they have kept their stake constant in companies like Lupin, Crisil, NCC, Geojit Financial Services, Man Infraconstruction, Prozone Intu Properties. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and his wife together held a stake in more than 35 companies on Dalal Street. Shareholding of other firms are yet to come.
