Investors will continue to watch fresh round of corporate earnings next week. Besides, the trend in global stock markets, the movement of rupee against the dollar and crude oil prices will dictate the trend on the bourses in the near term. Bourses were closed on October 15 on account of Dussehra. Investments by foreign portfolio investors and domestic institutional investors will also be watched.
Among key results, Avenue Supermarts and HDFC Bank will declare their results on 16 October 2021. HCL Technologies will declare its September 2021 quarterly earnings on 14 October 2021. L&T Infotech and UltraTech Cement will unveil their September 2021 quarterly earnings on 18 October 2021. ACC, Hindustan Unilever, L&T Technology Services and Nestle India will announce their September 2021 quarterly earnings on 19 October 2021. Asian Paints and JSW Steel will announce their September 2021 quarterly earnings on October 21. HDFC Life Insurance Company and Reliance Industries will declare their September 2021 quarterly earnings on October 22.
With no major economic announcement set to be made during the week, market participants will be eyeing the foreign exchange reserves data to be announced on October 22. Foreign exchange reserves in India decreased to $637477 million in October 1 from $638646 million in the previous week. Meanwhile, the trend in investment by foreign institutional investors and the movement of the rupee against the dollar will also be closely watched by the market-participants.
Investors will be eyeing macro-economic reports from world’s largest economy, United States, starting with Industrial Production, Manufacturing Production on October 18, followed by Redbook on October 19, Initial Jobless Claims on October 21 and finally Markit Composite PMI Flash, Baker Hughes Total Rig Count on October 23. China will announce Q3 GDP data on October 17.
