Hyundai Motor India’s operating profit grew by 0.29% to 10.26%. Also, the operating profit was 78% of Maruti as compared to the five year’s average of 42%, while the volume sold by the Korean car maker was 39% of Maruti Suzuki.
The Hyundai Santro is giving strong competition to Maruti cars in the segment. It gives a mileage of 30.48 km/kg. It comes in two variants – Magna and Sportz. This hatchback gets a 1.1 litre 4-cylinder engine. It’s priced between ₹ 5.86 lakh – ₹ 5.99 lakh.

In 2020-21 fiscal, passenger vehicle wholesales declined by 2.24% to 27,11,457 units as against 27,73,519 units in 2019-20, as per data by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
