Around 1.6 lakh employees and almost 1.5 lakh pensioners are expected to benefit from this move. By hiking the DA, Uttarakhand has followed Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Haryana, Karnataka, and Rajasthan, which have also increased the DA of their government employees.
Non-refundable advance: An EPFO member, who is not in the job for one month or more, can withdraw up to 75% of their PF balance. This facility has been given to the EPF account holder without closing their PF account.
Covid advance after leaving a job: An EPFO member is now eligible for Covid advance from one’s EPF account even after leaving his or her job provided full and final PF withdrawal hasn’t been claimed.
Insurance benefit upholds under EDLI scheme: Under this scheme, the maximum insurance benefit has been raised from ₹6 lakh to ₹7 lakh. If the EPF account holder dies while serving, the nominee or legal heir will be entitled to receive insurance benefits up to ₹7 lakh.
