Investment by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) will also be in focus in the week ahead.

Among key results, Divi’s Laboratories will announce results for the quarter ended 31 December 2020 on February 6.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation will declare the result on 8 February 2021. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Berger Paints India, Tata Steel will also announce their results for the quarter ended 31 December 2020 on 9 February 2021.

Eicher Motors, GAIL (India), Hindalco Industries, Titan Company will unveil their results for the quarter ended 31 December 2020 on 10 February 2021.

ACC, Bosch, Coal India, ITC, Power Grid Corporation of India will declare their results for the quarter ended 31 December 2020 on 11 February 2021.

Grasim Industries and ONGC will announce their results for the quarter ended 31 December 2020 on 12 February 2021.

In economic data, the Industrial Production and Manufacturing Production data for December will be released on 12 February 2021. Inflation rate for January is due on 12 February 2021.

Global cues will continue to be in focus as a resurgence in virus cases around the world, leads to more restrictions and more pressure on economic recovery. Updates related to Covid-19 will be closely watched. Also on the radar will be news on Covid vaccine development. From here on the pace of the improvement of economic indicators along with outcomes of a possible vaccine or cure for Covid-19 would determine the movement of the market.

Total Covid-19 confirmed cases worldwide stood at 10,48,38,939 with 22,81,731 deaths. India reported 1,51,460 active cases of Covid-19 infection and 1,54,823 deaths while 1,04,96,308 patients have been discharged, according to the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Overseas, China will announce inflation rate for January on 10 February 2021.

The US will announce inflation rate for January on 10 February 2021.
