This time the theme of International Women’s Day is #choosetochallenge–renowned nutritionist Dr. Shikha Sharma believes it’s very important for women to challenge themselves so they can come out of their comfort zones.
Dr. Shikha Sharma tells us how she got an MBBS degree but in the early days of her internship, she realised she doesn’t want to see people dying in OTs but wants to work on preventive healthcare. At that time, the usual response she got was–”have you lost your mind?”
But Dr. Shikha Sharma did not give up.
Even on matters of money, women feel that they cannot manage it, so they keep running away from it. But if women start taking care of it instead of running away, then they become better managers. Dr. Shikha felt it herself when she built her very first clinic right from the scratch.
