Tax calendar: Important Income Tax dates for FY 2021

Post demonetisation in November 2016, the income tax department had in 2017 said no questions will be asked about cash deposits of up to Rs 2.5 lakh

To make your life simpler, for FY 2021, Income Tax has issued an annual calendar so that no one forgets any Income Tax related important dates.

Due dates for filing TDS/TCS  deposit

  • April – 7th May
  • May – 7th June
  • June – 7th Aug and so on
  • March – 30th April

Due dates for filing TDS return

  • For April-June on 31st July
  • For July–Sept on 31st Oct
  • For Oct-Dec on 31st Jan
  • For Jan–March on 31st May

Due dates for filing TCS return

  • For April- June on 15th July
  • For July–Sept on 15th Oct
  • For Oct-Dec on 15th Jan
  • For Jan–March on 15th May

Due dates  of depositing instalments of Advance tax

  • On or before 15th June – 15%
  • On or before 15th Sept – 45%
  • On or before 15th Dec – 75%
  • On or before 15TH March – 100%

Due dates for filing the Income-tax return

  • For corporate assessee – 30th Sept
  • For non-corporate (audit cases) – 30th Sept
  • For taxpayers whose accounts need not be audited  (eg salaried individuals)– 31st July
  • For transfer pricing report in Form 3CEB – 31st Oct
  • Transfer pricing cases for taxpayers – 30th November

Submission of Form 15G/15H should be done ideally in 1st week of April.
