Google to pull plug on Q&A search feature by June 30
Google has asked those individuals who have contributed through their inputs to restore or save them somewhere else as it will fade post-June 30, 2021.
For selected search queries, Google shows a small Question & Answer section on the search results page. But, according to an updated Google, support page notification, the “Questions & Answers on Google” feature will no longer be available from June 30.
The ‘Q&A on Google’ search feature was launched just two years.
According to the update, this will not impact the Google Question Hub feature. Google Question Hub is a portal for publishers from where they can see the questions submitted by searchers and give answers for the questions by creating new web pages for answering those questions.
What Is the Q&A Feature on Google Search?
As this feature was recently added and limited to few topics, it was not that popular. Basically, this Q&A section displays the answers to your search queries. The section also shows some similar questions along with the answers. If the given answer really gives you the solution, you can click its vote button to give it a vote.
Save your contributions before it disappears:
After June 30, 2021, not only the feature will disappear, but the contributions made by you in the form of Q&A will also disappear. So, hurry up, save your valuable contributions if you have made any. Google suggests that you make a backup of your contributions from Takeout and complete it by June 30.
