Are you one of those quirky tech wizards who intentionally uses long and bizarre passwords to secure WiFi connection from outside breach? But what happens when you actually want to share the password with a friend, relative or guest? Does it not become irksome to send the password on chat or repeat it on calls to avoid case- sensitive errors?
Well, if you use a Samsung Galaxy smartphones that runs Android 9 Pie and above, it might be the end of your password sharing miseries. You can now connect any device to the WiFi network that is enabled on your Samsung device with the help of a QR (Quick Response) code.
This code can be scanned by anyone to connect their devices to the WiFi network.
Here’s a step-by-step procedure to enable this feature on your smartphones:
Open Settings on your phone and click on Connections
Click on WiFi and select your preferred network. Any network you select must be protected by WPA, WPA-PSK or WEP.
After connecting, select the gear icon at the right of the selected network
At the bottom, you can now spot a QR Code option. Tap on it and the code would be visible in high resolution
This code can be used to connect any other device to your network without revealing the password. One can also take a print out of the code and keep it handy for easy access.
