After Zomato, its rival Swiggy has also tied up with ticketing and catering arm of Indian Railways, the IRCTC, to deliver food on trains. From March 12, Swiggy will deliver food in trains at Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada railway stations. Gradually, the online food delivery platform will build up its tie up with IRCTC to deliver food at more stations in the country. Let’s how you can order food from Swiggy while travelling in a train.
There are four ways to order food from any of the online food delivery apps like Zomato, Swiggy, Dominos. First is by going on IRCTC’s website which is www.ecatering.irctc.co.in. The second is on IRCTC’s railways food order app, the ‘Food On Track’ mobile app. The third is on WhatsApp number of IRCTC eCatering service – 8750001323. And the fourth is that you can call on 1323 to order your favourite cuisine. Although, Zomato services were unavailable on 1323. You can use rest of the three ways to order food from Zomato.
