All sectoral indices on the NSE barring Nifty Media closed in the green. Sustained buying momentum across all sectors was witnessed.
Bharti Airtel was the top Sensex gainer followed by Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Titan, Maruti and Bajaj Finance
At the close of trade on Friday, the market capitalisation of all BSE-listed companies advanced to an all-time high of Rs 2,43,73,800.36 crore.
In early deals, Sensex lost 67.12 points or 0.12% at 55,881.98, while the Nifty 50 declined 6.95 points or 0.04% at 16,629.95

Nifty IT index rallied 0.65% followed by the Nifty Auto index rose 0.47%. While Nifty Pharma, Nifty Metal were up in the range of 0.18-0.38%.
Sensex ended 209 points or 0.40% higher at 52,653, while Nifty 50 settled at 15,778, up 69 points or 0.44%.
